Kati Basti Ayurvedic massage, healing water pump room and spa treatments, outdoor Jacuzzi and a walk in the clouds on the highest observation tower in Poland. I am writing this now, quickly, chaotically, "on hot", while the emotions are still running high, and the inner voice is shouting: go back there as soon as possible. It was an unearthly weekend that happens once every few years. Finally alone with my husband, no kids. Thank you God for our grandmother who took care of our little ones. It's April 2, 2023. I returned home from Åšwieradów-Zdrój just a few hours ago.

I do not even know where to start. The idea of a weekend trip came up earlier, but something kept bothering us all the time (diseases, boys' sports competitions, work). Finally we made it.

Ok Aga, take a deep breath and write some information :) Świeradów-Zdrój is a very small spa town. It is located in the Jizera Mountains. The submontane climate, numerous tourist and bicycle trails, resources of natural medicinal raw materials: mineral waters, radon waters, mud deposits enabling the treatment of rheumatic diseases have been attracting tourists and patients since the 17th century.

First time I have drunk radon waters, had Kati Basti Ayurvedic massage and climbed such a high tower. All of this gave me such a small town! It's unbelievable. Visit Świeradów-Zdrój with me.

More information about Åšwieradów-Zdrój you can find on Wikipedia

The frog has been a symbol of the town for years. It appears in many places in Świeradów. Four frogs also perched on the fountain in the center of the town. According to the legend, the frog is strongly associated with the establishment of the spa. Many years ago, a Berlin doctor found a dead but well-preserved frog in a local brook. This encouraged him to test the water, which - as it turned out - has healing properties. It was the beginning of the establishment of a health resort famous for its radon water.

I touched each frog: for health, for happiness, for love and for wealth :)

In the legend of Åšwieradów-Zdrój, Flins is described as a bearded man in a coat (looking like a dead) accompanied by a lion. As the god of death, he was supposed to raise the dead.

Dom Zdrojowy was built in 1899 according to the design of architect Grosser. The facility consists of two parts connected by a walking hall. Dom Zdrojowy has a clock tower with a height of 46 meters. The terrace in front of the spa house is over 160 meters long. The walking hall is wooden and 80 meters long, which makes it the longest facility of this type in Lower Silesia.

No, no….. It's not beer :) It's a Åšwieradowianka - healthy, radon water.

We had to try this healing water. You can buy it in a bottle (for a gift) or simply in a mug (which is also much cheaper). You can also bring your own bottle for water to be filled by the seller. Świeradów-Zdrój. Photo by A. Rybczyński

It was necessary to calm down the emotions with a crazy, green drink :))
