When I organize a trip to another country, I always check the monuments inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List. I trust this organization. I believe it works to protect the masterpieces of humanity and nature. Perhaps some of you also sometimes look for such monuments, works of art, and natural beauty. I have visited many sites which are under the protection of UNESCO. These were, for example, Plitvice Lakes, Diocletian's Palace in Split, St. James Cathedral in Šibenik, the city of Graz, historic centers of the cities of Salzburg and Vienna, the Parisian banks of the Seine, the Cathedral in Palermo, a dozen sites in Italy and many others.
I present to you 17 Sites in Poland inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List. Some of them are described by me on my website, they are linked so you can read more and see more photos about them. In places I haven't been to yet or I didn't have time to describe them, I've added links directly to the UNESCO website. Those place are: Białowieża Forest, Old City of Zamość, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Wooden Churches of Southern Małopolska, Centennial Hall, Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians, Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian Region in Poland and Ukraine, Tarnowskie Góry, Krzemionki Prehistoric Striped Flint Mining Region.
